Erwin – Fayetteville East
Line Upgrade Project
Duke Energy is committed to providing customers with reliable, safe and increasingly clean energy. We’re making improvements to our transmission infrastructure, the backbone of our state’s energy system—powering communities and helping to build the smarter, cleaner energy future that customers want.
As part of this commitment, we plan to upgrade approximately 23 miles of the existing Erwin-Fayetteville East 230-kV Transmission Line in Cumberland and Harnett counties. These upgrades include rebuilding the existing transmission line with new equipment that will improve reliability, increase capacity to enable continued economic growth and support cleaner sources of energy for Duke Energy customers throughout the region.
This interactive map is a useful tool for viewing the transmission line route. Features such as search, zoom and measure will allow you to see project details. If you need assistance with this map, please contact us.
